The Author's Lair: Ivy Graves
THE WEIRDO WORDSMITH
Ivy Graves is a queer gremlin from the land down under.
She/they/it is 100% brat with a dirty mind and gutter mouth. But don’t let that fool you.
The BDSM lifestyle, cinema, music, fashion, pop culture and art are but a few
sources of inspiration. Specifically, the genres of horror, erotica, science fiction,
gothic noir, true crime, and the list goes on.
Love is love.
Trans lives matter.
Don’t be a cunt.

Come and follow me on TIKTOK. I go live regularly and mentor new authors. I talk books, the writing process, and everything to do with books, magic, and the meaning of life.
And don't forget to leave a review on all platforms. These small gestures help support indie authors like me.

Thank You Ivy
This month, The Dark Rose Emporium is honored to highlight indie author Ivy
Graves, one of the authors who has inspired me the most, both creatively and personally.
Ivy writes dark fiction with depth, emotional intelligence, and awareness. Her stories explore themes like consent, trauma, nervous system safety, BDSM dynamics, outsider identity, emotional healing, and the difference between fantasy and real-life safety.
What makes her work so important is that beneath the obsession, darkness, humor, and intensity, there is always honesty.
Books like Control Alt Delete remind readers that not everyone online is who they pretend to be, especially in spaces where dark romance aesthetics and hyper-dominant
personas are heavily romanticized.
Ivy’s work highlights the importance of boundaries, communication, trust, and consent while still allowing readers to explore dark fantasy safely through fiction.
That balance is something I deeply respect.
Beyond her writing, Ivy has also been one of my biggest inspirations personally. She has supported me creatively, encouraged me to keep building, and inspired me in more ways than she probably realizes.
She is kind, chaotic in the best way, unapologetically herself, and one of the voices in indie dark fiction that genuinely helps people feel less alone.
